The foundation’s board meets regularly in spring and autumn to decide on funding applications.
The board’s interest in the research projects supported by the foundation is shown by its visits to research institutions and demonstrations of the funded equipment.
Part of the grant programme includes visits to grant recipients where they work. This aims to foster personal contact with the doctoral students funded by the foundation and provide a useful overview of the progress of the research for all those involved. The foundation is an actively engaged patron of the scientific work conducted by the grant recipients.
